Samajwadi Party will fight against distribution of Waqf Board's property

Lucknow, Apr 23 : Samajwadi Party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav today said his party will fight against the central government's conspiracy to distribute the Waqf Board's land among other communities.
The union cabinet has recently decided to distribute the income from Waqf properties to non-Muslims and Muslims in the ratio of 76:24, Mr Yadav said talking to mediapersons here.
The SP will oppose this move and rake the matter in the Parliament, he added.
If needed, the party will take to streets to protest,'' the SP leader said.Claiming it to be a sensitive issue that can cause law and order problem, Mr Yadav said, I made all efforts to protest the land of Waqf Board and even got constructed the boundary walls.A large number of Muslims rely on the income of the Waqf Board, he said adding, the decision will mar their living very much.It is a sensitive issue and can even lead to law and order problem, if tackled lightly,Mr Yadav stated.
Mentioning the Maharajganj incident, the SP chief said violence had already hit the district over Waqf land and resulted into the life of a constable The SP will launch a campaign against the Congress, if it does not withdraws its decision.
